 IRSEA Luncheon Meetings

In the expectation that COVID-19 will be under control and we will all be fully  vaccinated, your executive committee is planning six luncheon meetings in 2025:

Friday 21 March 2025 (Annual General Meeting)
(bookings by 12 March).
Friday 30 May 2025 (bookings by 16 May).
Friday 13 June and Saturday 14 June 2025 (bookings by 30 May).
Friday 1 August 2025 (bookings by 19 July).
TBA 2025 social lunch at Sydney Rowing Club
Friday 5 December 2025 (bookings by 22 November).

Our March luncheon meeting is also our AGM.

The March, May, August and December Luncheon meetings will be held at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, 169 Castlereagh Street, Sydney.

The June meetings (dinner on Friday, luncheon meeting on Saturday) are in the Hunter Valley at the Apollo International Hotel, Charlesdtown.

We are planning to have high quality guest speakers at each of the luncheons.

Regretfully, despite our successful innovations recently, we are no longer able to provide access by Zoom to members who are unable to attend in person. Insufficient numbers of members took advantage of joining us by Zoom to justify the cost.

Please watch the IRSEA News and special emails before the luncheon date for more details and the booking form.

Our proposed social lunch is at the Sydney Rowing Club, Abbotsford. It does not include a formal meeting. Bookings by TBA.

Friends of Stewart House (FOSH)

The Friends of Stewart House (FOSH) is a fund raising group that supports the critical work of Stewart House in helping the most needy children in our public education system.

FOSH was formed some 80 years ago and is still going strong. Its members were mainly Department of Education employees but now include all who wish to help this wonderful organisation. Stewart House is critically dependent on personal and corporate financial support.

Money is raised through donations, social functions and raffles. Social functions include luncheons, race days and social excursions. FOSH provides enjoyable social activities for like-minded supporters.

Many IRSEA members are also members of FOSH. You can be a member of FOSH for as little as $20 and this also becomes part of an annual donation to Stewart House.

A social calendar and newsletters are produced two to three times a year. The latest copies of these can be found via the Stewart House link found on this website.
